Use Celebakes 1 lbs. Isomalt Crystals to make beautiful clear candy decorations for your cakes, candies, and other treats! Unlike regular sugar these Isomalt Crystals will not crystallize, and has a higher resistance to humidity which leaves a clearer finished product.
Combine 2 cups Isomat and 1/2 cup distilled hot water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Then use a candy thermometer to bring the mixture up to 320 F. Followed by removing the mixture from the heat.Then if you desire a color add the color at 280 F whether it may be liquid or gel color, Once you have then added your desired colors if you would like to add flavor be sure to add the liquid flavoring once you have removed the mixture from the heat. Once you are finished plour the liquid isomalt mixture into a greased candy mold, silicone mat, or sheet pan. Lastly, allow the Isomalt crystals to cool and harden before touching which may take about 10 minutes.
These Isomalt crystals will be very hot to handle do not allow children to use.
Keep or store in a cool dry place for up to 3 years.
Store your creations in an airtight container.
